Our Standards
- Readers first. We write to help you make a good purchase, not to push the highest-paying product.
- Independent opinions. Our recommendations are not for sale. Brands cannot pay for a review, a score, or a ranking.
- Honesty about limits. We state the drawbacks of a product as clearly as its strengths.

How We Choose Products
We select products based on reader interest, availability to U.S. buyers, reputation, and range of price and features. We do not choose products only because they offer an affiliate commission.
How We Evaluate Products
Depending on the product, we look at build quality and materials, stability and weight capacity, adjustability and ease of assembly, size and space needs, noise and motor performance (for electric desks), warranty and return terms, price and value, and patterns in verified buyer feedback. Our assessments are based on research, and we say so in each article.

We check facts before we publish. Prices and availability change, so we revisit key articles and update them when products, prices, or our views change. Articles show when they were last updated.
